Mrs. Dark died Monday (August 3, 1981)at a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 28, 1887, in Kilgore, and spent most of her life in Smith County. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Tyler and was a retired housewife.
Survivors include three sons, Willie Wade Dark, Floyd Dark and Grady Dark, all of Tyler; four daughters Mrs. Pearline Richard of NEw Chapel Hill, Mrs. Joy Kirby of Jacksonville and Mrs. Claudia Pierce and Mrs. Ethel Jackson, both of Tyler; 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be R. B. Pierce, Clifford Jackson, Billy McCuary, Jonny Mac Whitworth, Neil Dark and Ray Dark.
