Isabel was the daughter of William Elsberry and Myra Ada Skidmore Allen. Both her parents and her first husband, Roy E. Walling, are buried in Refuge Cemetery in Houston County. She is buried beside her second husband, Albert Lee Helm.

Services for Isabel "Kit" Helm, 87, of Grapeland will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Bailey & Foster Chapel in Palestine with Dr. Ron Whitt and Roy Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Helm died Thursday in a Jacksonville nursing home.

She was born March 29, 1917 in Houston County to William L. Allen and Ada Skidmore Allen.
Mrs. Helm was a member of the Union Chapel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Roy E. Walling and Albert Lee Helm; two sisters, Ruthie Parker and Gracie Hughes; and four brothers, Edward, Roy, Huford and Artice Allen.

Mrs. Helm is survived by daughter, Kathy Wiggins of Hereford; sons, Roy Spencer Walling and wife Millie of Elkins Lake, Tommie L. Helm and wife Cindy of Jacksonville, and Johnnie L. Helm and wife Trish of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.]
Pallbearers will be nephews.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
