Surviving Mr. Winning is his wife, Lillian A. Winning and their children, William T. Winning, III (Carol), J. Patrick Winning (Lisa Baue), Dana L. Strategier, and R. Kyle Winning (Laura); grandchildren, Erika, Brian (Tina), Derek, Geoffrey and Kory Winning, Tara, John and Kelly Strategier; great-grandson, Ashton Winning; Sisters, Charlotta Overton and Myra Jane Hendrickson (Rich).

Mr. Winning was President-CEO of Winning Equipment Company in Herculaneum, Missouri for 21 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the Philippines. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America; former Scoutmaster for Des Peres Troop #313 and Town & Country Scout Troop #321; Past-President of Kirkwood Khoury League where he received the Meritorious Service Award in 1972; member of Covenant Presbyterian Church since 1955 where he was a former deacon, an elder emeritous and Sunday School teacher; member of Gideons, International and was a licensed surveyor in Missouri for over ten years.
