Dolly Wirey dies Thursday

SOUTHPORT – Mrs. Ralph (Dolly) Wirey, age 73, died Thursday evening in the Turtle Creek Convalescent Home. A former resident of Edinburg, she had lived in the Southport area for a number of years, and most recently at Greenwood route 2.

She was the daughter of Richard and Arvey Gillaspy and was graduated from Edinburg High School.

At one time, Mr. and Mrs. Wirey were custodial residents of the Southport Masonic Lodge.

Surviving with the husband are Mrs. Robert Briggs, Greenwood, a daughter; two sons, Thomas Marshall of Cobena, Calif. and William Wirey of Indianapolis. Eight grandchildren also survive.

Services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Herr Funeral Home, Prospect Street, Indianapolis. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburg.
