SHREVEPORT, LA - Pauline Taglavore Lewis, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2007 following a lengthy illness. The family will receive friends Monday, June 18th from 5 until 7 pm with a vigil service following. A funeral mass will begin at 11 am Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Charles Glorioso and Father Philip F. Michiels officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
Her unconditional love and giving heart were felt by all those who knew her. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Her lighthearted spirit was expressed through her love for dancing. She served the community for many years and was instrumental in the success of Stan's Record Shop.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Lewis Garriga; son, Leonard J. "Lenny" Lewis and special friend, Jeanne Doggett; grandsons, Christopher and Michael Garriga; sister, Jo Hudson Flick and husband, Bob; brother, Vincent "Tag" Taglavore and wife, Betty; special sister-in-law, Josie Lewis and husband, A. J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tony Papa, Kevin Taglavore, Ron Lewis, Alphonse Taglialavore, Ernest Palmisano and Joseph Allen "Bubba" Cordaro. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Mikovich, Greg Williams, Johnny, Peter and Edward Louis, Vince Maranto and Rhett Millett.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Sally Ball, Dr. Paul "Corky" Davis, Dr. Melissa Palazzo and the Willis-Knighton Pierremont ICU staff for their wonderful care during her illness.
