Robert V. "Zeke-Bob" Ashline, age 66, died Sunday, October 8, 1995 in F.A.H.C., Burlington.
He was born in Lebanon, N.H., March 27, 1929, son of the late Edward and Gladys (Laforce) Ashline.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a 43 year member of the American Legion Post #1 where had served as post adjutant. Zeke retired in 1991 following 25 years as a language lab technician at St. Michael's College.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. June 23, 1962 he married Claire Bouchard.
Besides his wife he is survived by their daughter Lynn M. Groleau and granddaughter Schayna Groleau, both of Jericho; his five brothers and their wives, Cleon and Joan Ashline of St. Louis, MO., Edward and Madeline Ashline of No. Fort Myers, Fla., Harold and Delores Ashline of Rome, N.Y., Dwayne and Rita Ashline of Goose Creek, S.C., Donald and Ann Ashline of Wilmington, N.C.; his mother-in-law Oliva Bouchard, sister-in-law and her husband Ruth and Earl Poland, brother-in-law and his wife, Paul and Claire Bouchard, all of St. Albans; bother-in-law Carl Tatro of Swanton; several nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by his sister Theresa Tatro June 22, 1985.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Friends may call at the Brady and Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., from 2 to 4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Interment will be in the Ashline family at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Brady and Levesque Funeral Home.
