Theresa B. "Terry" Tatro, 59, wife of Carl Tatro of 266 Lake St., died Saturday morning in the Northwestern Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born in Burlington on April 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Laforce) Ashline.

For 25 years she operated Terry's Beauty Shop and for the past five years had been an operator at Coifftique Beauty Shop. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and the Burlington School of Cosmetology. She was a member and past president of the American Legion Green Mountain Auxillary Unit 1 and a member of the VFW Robert Glidden Auxiliary Unit 768. Terry was a former member of the Holy Angels Mothers Club.

Besides her husband Carl, she is survived by three children, Steven Tatro of Detroit, Mich., Alan Tatro of St. Albans and Deborah Constatine of Hinesburg; two grandchildren, Scott and Shane Constatine, both of Hinesburg; six brothers, Cleon Ashline of St. Louis, Mo., Edward Ashline of South Burlington, Robert Ashline of Essex Junction, Harold Ashline of Rome, N.Y., Dwayyne Ashiline of Charleston, S.C., and Donald Ashline of Wilmington, N.C., several nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady and Levesque Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Interment will be in the Ashline family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery.
