Doris was the oldest child of Lewis and Ora (Ellis)Gates. She married James "Jake" Eller on April 24,1934, and to this union one son James Melvin was born. She was a homemaker,a good mother and helped to raise several nieces and nephews. She was active in Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge for many years. She loved to cook and sew.

Doris Lucille Eller, 89, Stockton, died Monday, March 21, 2005, at Solomon Valley Manor. She was born Oct. 8, 1915, in Logan to Lewis Ira and Ora Agnes (Ellis) Gates. She married James William "Jake" Eller on April 24, 1934, in Stockton. He died April 30, 1973. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, James M. Eller, Sylvan Grove; two sisters, Arlene Rogers, Plainville, and Delores Bozarth, Norton; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial in Bogart Cemetery, rural Kirwin.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are suggested to Rooks County Hospice or Solomon Valley Manor.
