Andrew was born either the 20th or the 30th of October (the dates have been copied over and over and there is an transcription error) in Franklin Co, IN to William Blackburn and Susan Bolton. He married first to Maria Smeltzer in Hamilton Co, IN in 1871. They had two sons, Frank (or Franklin) Joseph Blackburn, and Oliver Perry "Perry" Blackburn. After his wife's death in 1896 in Benton Co, AR (she is interred in the Rogers Cemetery), he remarried to Mrs. Elizabeth J. (Mayo) German in 1897 in Benton Co, AR. Andrew came to CA around 1905, to join his brother in Gardena, Los Angeles Co, CA. Andrew died of a stoke at the age of 68.
