OSAGE CITY-Beulah Betty Bogren, 86, formerly of Scranton, died Friday, July 21, 1995, at an Osage City nursing home. She was born Feb. 22, 1909, at Scranton, the daughter of William Rowe and Elizabeth Stephens. She was a lifelong Scranton resident. Mrs. Bogren worked for the Crosby Brothers and Robert Hall’s clothing stores in Topeka before she retired. She was a member of the Scranton United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women at the church, and the auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was married to Thor Bogren on Aug. 18, 1957. He died Jan. 28, 1988. Survivors include a step-daughter, Dorothy Hamblin, Wittier, Calif.; three step-sons, Thor E. Bogren Jr., Normal, Ill., John Bogren, Bonsail, Calif., and Donald Bogren, Topeka; and two sisters, Margaret Barraclough and Edith Erskine, both in Topeka. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Scranton. Burial was at the Scranton Cemetery, under the direction of the Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scranton United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
