Mary (Pagano) Cimilluca April 30, 2007
Mary (Pagano) Cimilluca, 89, daughter of Samuel and Concetta (Gatto) Pagano passed away April 30, 2007 in Minnesota. She was born on April 26, 1918 in Syracuse , NY . She attended school in Syracuse and was promoted two grades because of her mathematics skills. She was united in marriage to Frank Cimilluca in 1938, they shared 57 years together. Frank and Mary traveled to many places on their boat and loved to dance and laugh together. Mary worked for several years at West Hill High School in charge of the cafeteria. The teachers, as well as the kids loved her cooking. After retiring, they bought a home in Florida. After a short time everyone got to know and love them. Mary gave to others in so many ways through her quick wit, cooking and entertaining. She was a woman of positive thinking and faith and gave her children and grandchildren wonderful lessons to carry them through life. In 2001 she moved to Minnesota to be closer to her daughter, again making all new friends. She received special care when she was not able to live alone from Doug and Donna Stevens, her extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Frankie; her parents and her sister, Rose.
Mary is survived by her son, Frankie Cimilluca (Linda) of East Haven, CT; daughter, Mary Ellen Kjesbo (Noel) of Wendell, MN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Bernie Pagano; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Steve Russo and brother-in- law, Joe Cimilluca; special Godchild, Fran Foeilett; many special nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompei Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse . The PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME is in charge of local arrangements.
