Former Syracuse resident Frank Cimilluca, 80, died Monday in Sebring, Fla., after a long illness.
A native of Syracuse , Mr. Cimilluca also had lived 39 years in Westvale and 13 years in Clearwater, Fla., before moving to Sebring four years ago. He retired after 11 years with the town of Geddes Highway Department and previously was a mechanic and service manager with several local Chrysler dealerships.
Mr. Cimilluca also was widely known for building scale-model trucks from scratch. His models were featured on local television shows and in several national magazines.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Mary Pagano; a son, Frank of Connecticut; a daughter, Mary Ellen Kjesbo of Minnesota; two brothers, Anthony and Joseph, both of Syracuse ; three sisters, Frances Lobello, Eleanor Cimilluca and Connie Russo, all of Syracuse ; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St.
