Oralia Maria Griego, 78, passed away on April 13, 2007 in Milan, New Mexico.

Oralia was born on June 14, 1928 in San Mateo, New Mexico. She was a member of St. Vivian Catholic Church and was active in the Cibola Senior Citizens foster Grandparent program.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cruz Griego; parents, Jose Manuel and Doloritas Sena Gonzales Sandoval; brothers, Artie Sandoval, Paul Sandoval and Joe Sandoval, Jr. and step-mother, Anita Barela Sandoval.

She is survived by her children, Annette Griego of Milan, New Mexico, and Jerry Griego of Los Alamos, New Mexico; brother, Leo Sandoval of Zuni, New Mexico; sisters, Eileen Lucero and husband, Tino, of Gallup, New Mexico, Ramona Casillas of Gallup, New Mexico, Nancy Valdez and husband, Freddie, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Stella Perez and husband, Michael, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Kim Griego of Abilene, Texas and Neal Griego of Lawton, Okla.; great-grandchild, Ethan Griego of Lawton, Okla.; sister-in-law, Patsy Fierros of Bluewater, New Mexico and many nephews and nieces.

A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at St. Vivian Catholic Church in Milan, New Mexico. Father Alberto Avella will be the officiate.

Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Neal Griego, Reyes Fierros, Tino Lucero, Leo Sandoval, and Ethan Griego.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of all arrangements.
