Dora Edwards Anderson, 82, of Jesup, Ga., died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The Appling Co., Ga. native had lived in Wayne Co. most of her life. She was a member of the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors are her husband of 63 years: Cleyon H. Anderson of Jesup, Ga., a daughter: Marcie A. & James White of Odum, Ga., 2 sons: Larry & Doris Anderson, Ronald & Janice Anderson, all of Odum, Ga., 2 sisters: Nell Murphy and June Devereaux, both of Baxley, Ga., 7 grandchildren: Kevin Anderson, Derrick Anderson, both of Jesup,Ga., Dawn Messer of Odum, Ga., Brett White of Screven, Ga., Ronald "Ronnie" Anderson, Shanda Anderson , Lori Smith, all of Jesup, Ga., 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 A. M. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, from the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Horne and Rev. Billy Livesay officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Kevin Anderson, Brett White, Ronnie Anderson, Zand Murphy, Monty Edwards and Lindsay Jones.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 P. M. Sunday from the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson will be placed in the church 10 A. M. Monday to lie in state.
