Cleyon H. Anderson, 86, of Jesup died Dec. 30, 2007, after an extended illness.
The Wayne County native was a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. He was retired from ITT-Rayonier and loved farming and fishing.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dora E. Anderson.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marcie A. and James (Rowe) White of Odum; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Doris Anderson and Ronald and Janice Anderson, all of Jesup; two sisters, Lossie Pye and Burnell Westberry, both of Jesup; a brother, Lloyd Anderson of Jesup; seven grandchildren, Kevin Anderson, and Derrick Anderson, both of Jesup, Dawn Messer of Odum, Brett White of Screven, Ronald "Ronnie" Anderson of Jesup, Shanda Anderson of Jesup, and Lori Smith of Jesup; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Dec. 31 from New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Horne and the Rev. Billy Livesay officiating. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Kevin Anderson, Brett White, Ronnie Anderson, Monty Edwards, Matt Smith and Donald Westberry.
