She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Evangelical faith Oct. 4, 1863. She came to America in 1871, locating at LaSalle, Ill. She was married to John M. Schoen Mar. 29, 1873. In 1879 they came to the Gladstone vicinity where she made her home for over hald a century. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical church.
Mr. and Mrs. Schoen celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary nine years ago. Eleven children were born to them, of whom three died in infancy. Four sons and four daughters survive their mother. They are Fred. A., William T., Gotlieb and Emil, all of Gladstone; Mrs. John Molzhan of Munden, Kans.; Mrs. John Kapke of Gladstone, Mrs. H. A. Miller of Lincoln and Mrs. George George of Gilead. She is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Her husband died Dec. 29, 1928. Since then she has made her home with her sons, Gotlieb and Emil Schoen.
Funeral services in charge of Rev. H. Henning were held Sunday afternoon at the Zion Evangelical church, a mile east of Gladstone. Internment was in the Zion Evangelical cemetery.
