Mr. John Berger died at the home of his son Edwin, June 21st, after several weeks of illness at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 13 days. He leaves two children, one daughter Mrs. Rudolph Theuman of Cat Spring, and one son, Edwin Berger, also four step children, Mrs. Edwin Dunlevy, Mrs. Mary Kansteiner of Alleyton, Mrs Katz Satora of Galveston and one stepson Herman Eckelberg of Robstown. Eight grandchildren and fourteen step grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Besides a host of other relatives. He was buried in the Lutheran [Zoar] Cemetery at Bachelor Hill, Friday afternoon, Rev. W. A. Flachmeier, officiating.
