Harry H. Haddon, 97, formerly of West Leechburg, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Harmar Village Care Center, Harmar.
He was born Dec. 24, 1907, in West Leechburg. Mr. Haddon was the supervisor of the payroll department for the Pittsburgh office of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. for 47 years before retiring in 1970.
He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Leechburg, where he was a former church elder, a 32nd degree Mason with the F and AM of Leechburg, and the Syria Temple in Pittsburgh. Mr. Haddon enjoyed boating on the Allegheny River and bowling.
Survivors include a son, Howard Paul Haddon (Nancy) of Monrovia, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. and Sarah Elizabeth (Ross) Haddon; his wife, Etta Gertrude (Doutt) Haddon, on Dec. 11, 1994; a daughter, Nancy Alice Albert; three brothers, Thomas, James and John Haddon; and three sisters, Emma Ross, Mary J. McDonald and Sara Stokes.
Friends will be welcomed by his family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at CLAWSONS, Leechburg.
Funeral ceremonies will be on Friday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, with his pastor, the Rev. Mary Louise McCullough, officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
A Masonic service will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
