Ben Franklin Gabbard, 81, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Saturday, December 30, 2000, at a local hospital. He was a member of Calvary Chapel Pentecostal Church in Alma, Arkansas and Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was born in OKlahoma to Charles Wallace Gabbard and Gertie Mae Dougan Gabbard Matlock.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Nellie; two sons; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held January 2, 2000 at Friendly Pentecostal Church of God in Van Buren, Arkansas. Burial was at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
