"Ted" Cahall, 77, passed away peacefully from a brief illness at 9:55 am Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. William was born April 25, 1935, in Worthington, Indiana, to the late Orville C. and Stella (Reece) Cahall. William was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Thomas Biggs. William is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita (Craig), whom he married June 8, 1958; along with his daughters, Barbara (Donald) Waddups and Becky (Kevin) Horvath; sons, Steve (Kelly) Cahall and Richard Cahall; grandchildren, Tyler and Jordan Cahall, Brandon Reasonover, Cara Cahall, Tina and Donald Waddups Jr., Kristen and Kevin Horvath Jr.; sister, Roselia (John) Wildrick; brother-in-law, Richard (Betty) Stevenson; and by several nieces and nephews. William was the owner and operator of Ted's Standard Service Station for 33 years, and was also employed with the Bendix Corporation and Krizman. He was a volunteer for the St. Joseph County Police, loved fishing, woodworking, wild life, his flower garden and, most of all, his grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, June 15, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Side Church of Christ, 22987 Edison Road, South Bend, IN 46628. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
