Stella M. Biggs, 78, of Lexington Avenue, died at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday in Memoiral Hospital.
Mrs. Biggs retired in 1966 as a waitress from the Pick Oliver Hotel.
She was born January 1, 1917, in Greene County, Ind., and lived in South Bend since 1939. On May 10, 1933, in Bloomfield, Ind., as Stella Reece, she married Orville Cahall. He died Oct. 11, 1947. On Jan. 9, 1957, in South Bend, she married Thomas Biggs. He died Sept. 6, 1981.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosalea Wildrick of North Liberty; a son, William T. Cahall of South Bend; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother George Reece of Worthington, Ind.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Weisheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
