Age 84 of Portage, passed away Friday, January 11, 2002. He was a longtime area resident and retired from the Portage Park Department. He served his country in World War II and was awarded 3 Bronze Stars. Raymond was also a longtime member of American Legion Post #260 of Portage. He is survived by 1 son, Charles Harper of Portage; 1 daughter, Ruth (Archie) Pikramenos of Jackson, TN, 1 sister, Alpha Wilson of Portage; and many loving grandchildren and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Beard. Funeral services are Saturday January 19, 202 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Chaplain Bettye Green officiating. Burial will follow at Blake Cemetery.
