She had been a Portage resident for the past 36 years coming from Ridgely, TN. She had many different jobs as her health permitted, but most her important job was always caring for her family.
She leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Raymond Beard; son, Charles Harper of Portage; daughters, Ruth (Archie) Pikramenos and their children and grandchildren of Jackson, TN, Novella Treadwell and her children and grandchildren of Trenton, TN; a sister, Mae Simmons and her children of Portageville, MO.; sister-in-law, Alpha Wilson of Portage and special friend Ruth Williams and her children of Rensselaer, IN. She was preceded in death by her fist husband, Charlie Harper.
Funeral services Saturday, January 22, 2000 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Larry Hankel officiating. Burial Blake Cemetery Portage.
