Wrex Henthorn, Jr., son of Wrex and Alice (Bigger) Henthorn, Sr., was born May 30, 1920 in Aurora. He was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and farmed his entire life near Murphy. He married Janice Andersen Dec. 18, 1943. She died Feb. 13, 1982. He enjoyed his family, his cabin, fishing and boxing.
He was very proud that his homestead barn was being used by the Hamilton County Boxing Academy run by Scott Peace.
Survivors include his two daughters, Karen (John) Helms of Aurora and Linda (Bill) Nordskog of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one daughter-in-law, Jane Henthorn of St. Charles, Mo.; one sister, Dorothy Baker of Pueblo, Colo.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; stepchildren Steve Schroeder of Phillips, Joe Schroeder of Benton City, Wash., Kim Hahn of Fremont and Tom Schroeder of Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son, Eugene Henthorn who died in 1992. Memorials are directed to the Hamilton County Boxing Academy.
