GARDEN CITY — Rebecca Jones Coleman McCorkel, 77, died March 17, 2004, at Candler Hospital. She was born in Bulloch County to James Jones and Viola Akins Jones.
Mrs. McCorkel was the manager of the Deli Department of M&M Supermarket for many years. She was married to Daniel W. Coleman, who preceded her in death. She later married Conrad McCorkel.
Rebecca was also preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Peggy Horton and Janice Bath; a son Thomas Randall "Randy" Coleman; two stepsons, Gary and Jimmy McCorkel; a sister, Mattie Coleman; and a brother, Herman Jones; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday 6-8 p.m. at Massey-Framke Funeral Care.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Massey-Framke Chapel. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesboro.
