Portage Township.
Orsemus H. Spencer died Tuesday, July 21, at his home in McPherson county, Kansas, aged 60 years. He was married three times, by his first wife he had two sons, one is living. His third wife who survives him was Miss Emma Garhart, of Porter county. Mr. Spencer was raised near the county line and taught school several in this township at Dist. No. 5. He was a nephew of Eleaser Spencer, and was respected by all.
