AGED MAN DIES AT SON'S HOME

Final Rites For J. W- Spencer Will Be Held at 2 This Afternoon

John Wesley Spencer, 73, resident of Jackson for the past eight years, died at the home of his son at 120 Rankin street yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. He had been ill for an extensive time.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock, from Wright and Ferguson's chapel, Reverend B. M. Hunt, deceased's pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Ridgeland cemetery.
Mr. Spencer was a member of the Grace Methodist church.

Surviving are two sons, C. J. and J. W. Spencer, of Jackson, and a daughter, Mrs. Lydia Rosenberger, Ashville, North Carolina.

Active pallbearers will be: B,. F. Scott, J. A. Osborne, R. M. Mayes, W. I. Philips, Will Prldgen, George Webber, and E. J. Collins.
