Funeral services for Mr. Hersey Coleman, age 74, of Bastrop, will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at Faith Baptist Church with Dr. Vic Carter and Rev. Britt Dupree officiating.
Interment will be at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday at Cox Funeral Home.

Mr. Coleman was born March 13, 1932 in Bonita, Louisiana to the late Eurie Coleman and Bertha Kilcrease Coleman. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired as a contract truck driver for the Postal Service. Mr. Coleman is also preceded in death by two sons; Hersey Dewayne Coleman and Steve Coleman, and three brothers; Willie Lee Coleman, John D. Coleman, and Louis Coleman.

Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Clarie Crenshaw Coleman of Bastrop, two sons; Tab Coleman and wife Angie of Bastrop, Mark Coleman and wife Heather of Bastrop, daughter-in-law; Kayla Coleman of Monroe, four brothers; Faye Coleman and wife Peggy of Bastrop, Herman Coleman of Bonita, Ellis Ray Coleman of Bonita, Larry Wayne Coleman and wife Jimmie of Bastrop, one sister; Lula Mae Vines of Angleton, Texas, and seven grandchildren.
