Tadd Ryan Metzger, 21, of Sidell, a student at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis., passed away on Monday, June 30, 2003, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, from injuries received in an accident on Sunday, June 29, 2003.

Tadd Ryan was born Dec. 31, 1981, in Columbia City, Ind., to Ron and Kathy DeBolt Metzger.

Tad was a 2000 graduate of Jamaica High School and active in both football and track. He was part of the 1998 football team that made the playoffs and holder of the school record for the most interceptions. He was a weight-lifter and was a jumper and sprinter on the Carthage track team. He was a member of TKE Fraternity.

Funeral services were held in the Jamaica High School gymnasium. The Tadd Ryan Metzger Athletic Scholarship Fund was established in his memory.
