She was born in Wells County, Indiana, the daughter of Elisha and Fronia Alberson Cashman. Her husband, Philip Armantrout, died June 22, 1969.
Mrs. Armantrout was a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. She also belonged to the West Walnut Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughter; a sister; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
