Aaron's obituary appeared in the Monday, October 24, 1921 issue of the Arkansas City Daily Traveler, page 5, column 2:

"Died at Blackwell
Dr. Lashbrook, Early Day Resident
Here, Passed Away

The death of Dr. Aaron Lashbrook occurred at Blackwell and the body was brought to Arkansas City yesterday for interment at the Parker cemetery. Dr. Lashbrook was a veterinary surgeon and was a resident of Arkansas City for more than thirty years. A year ago he was taken to Blackwell by his son, Charles Lashbrook, and he resided there up to the time of his death.

Dr. Lashbrook had reached the advanced age of 97 years, 10 months and 5 days. The last year of his life he suffered from a cancer, which finally caused his death.

The funeral service will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Parman-Powell chapel, and the interment will take place following, at the Parker cemetery, east of the city. Another son, Oscar Lashbrook, resides in this city now.

Besides the son at Blackwell, Mr. Lashbrook leaves six other grown children: Oscar, Chester and Mrs. Frank Smith of Arkansas City, George who lives in Nebraska, Marion of Almena, Kansas, and Alvin who at present is living in Missouri."
