Mrs. Bishop was a native of Madison County and was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Phillips and the late Maudie Jane Colbert Phillips. She was a homemaker and a member of the Stateline Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Pzro phillips and Lelve Phillips.
Survivors include her husband, J. C. Bishop of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two daughters, Becky Bankston of Jackson, Tenn., and Linda Bridges of Horton; two sons, Ricky Bishop of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Mike Bishop of Lewisburg, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. James Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
