He married on 2 May 1818 (2) Charlotte Martin (buried at this cem.); they had the following children: Mariam, Robert A. P. C. b. 1821; Mary W. b. 1824; David L. b. 1826; Sarah Radford b. 1827; John A. H. b. 1829; Thomas C. M. b. 1831; Susan Hughes b. 1833; William George M. b. 1835; Pleasant Henderson b. 1837; A. Petit Poindexter; and Samuel Poindexter.
