Charles Clyde Sports, 78, of Hubert died Feb 1 at his home. Graveside services were Monday at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville with military honors. Ron Edwards, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiated. He was a retired US Air Force sergeant. Survivors include his two daughters, Betty Beasley of Fayetteville and Norma Murphy of Raleigh; two sons, Clifford Lee Poole of Chapel Hill and David Lee Driggers of Florida; a sister, Daisy Waddell of Hubert; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Jones Funeral Home in Swansboro.
