Obituary for Annie Captolia "Cap" White
Memorial service for Annie Captolia "Cap" Gibson White, age 88, of Decatur, will be Thursday, March 15, 2018, 7:30 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service.

Mrs. White, who died Monday, March 12, 2018, at her residence, was born May 20, 1929, in Wren, AL, to Irvin Gibson and Beatrice Konny Watson Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clyde Sports, her parents, and four siblings, Wayne Gibson, Hoot Gibson, Audra Standridge, and Evoynn Gibson. She was a faithful Christian and member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Somerville, where she served as pianist for fifty years.

She is survived by one son, David Sports and wife, Pam, of Cheyenne, WY; one sister-in-law, Faye Gibson of Trinity; one granddaughter, Tracy Selway of Cheyenne, WY; two great-grandchildren, Madeline Selway and Rhys Selway of Cheyenne, WY; and several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the UAB Civitan Research Center, P. O. Box 130744, Birmingham, AL 35213-0744.
