TABERG - Mrs. Ena Mae Peabody, 60, of RD 3 Taberg, wife of C. Willard Peabody, died yesterday in Rome Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Rome, daughter of Arthur and Lillian Duff Wheeler and attended Rome schools. In 1930, she was married in Rome. The couple had lived in Taberg since 1937.
Mrs. Peabody was employed by the Rome Specialty Co. for 20 years.
She was a member of the Lee Methodist Church, the WSCS, the Lee Grange and the Rome Rebekah Lodge.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Patricia A Bormann, Rome, and Mrs. John W. (Lorraine) Bentley, Whitesboro, and a brother, Melvin Wheeler, Rome.
funeral will be at 1 Saturday from the Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home, Rome, with burial in Rathbunville Cemetery.
