Anita Holguin Aranda, 85, of Solomon, entered into rest on Friday, March 21, 2014 at her home in Solomon.
She was born on July 20, 1928, in Thatcher, Arizona, to Jose and Igncia Holguin.
Anita enjoyed going to church at the Assembly of God Church and her Pastor and his wife visiting her and singing her songs.
She also enjoyed doing puzzles, eating her red chile enchiladas, and her children and grandchildren visiting with her.
In her final days, she enjoyed watching the school kids get off of the school bus by her home.
In her early years she worked at various jobs including, El Charro, Solomon School Cafeteria, Dan Hinton School and various other places doing housekeeping.
Anita is survived by her children, Linda Perez (Milton), Cathy Aranda, Becky Maldonado (David), Fernando Aranda, Rachel Baca (Albert), Paul Aranda, Tommy Aranda, and Frank Gonzales (Lysa); brother, George Holguin; sister, Kate Ornales; and 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Danny Aranda; daughter, Mary Alica Aranda; her parents; two brothers, Bobby and Joe Holguin.
She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family. On behalf of her family, we would like to thank our brother, Fernando, for taking care of her.
Funeral servcies will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Lorenzo Dijosa officiating.
