Stanley Burmeister was born June 24, 1928, in Wisconsin to Otto and Viola (Petersen) Burmeister.

In 1930, the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where his father had a job as a stock clerk for a motor company.

Tragedy struck in 1934. Stanley's mother, Viola and her stillborn child died in late December, and then in January, 1935, Stanley's father, Otto, died too. Stanley went to live in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

By 1940, 11-year old Stanley was back in Omaha, at 2815 S. 17th St., living with his 74 year old widowed grandmother, Jensine Petersen, and his 34 year old aunt Doris Petersen.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Stanley Burmeister died Jan. 26, 2004, at age 75, and was buried in Springwell Cemetery.
