ROBBINS, Gertrude H. "Trudi" 99, of St. Petersburg died Dec. 4, 2008, at Bon Secours Maria Manor. Born in Meriden, CT, she attended Meriden High School and Bay Path Business School. She was married to Army MSGT Richard J. Robbins for 58 years. She lived in Connecticut until 1956, and then moved to Gulfport. She finished her career as executive secretary for Elmer J. Krauss Organization. She was a keyboard stylist and played locally. She was a Roman Catholic and resided at Bon Secours Place, St. Petersburg. She made shawls and lap blankets for friends, invalids and her church. She played piano as the entertainment at Bon Secours Place. She enjoyed cruising, the beaches, restaurants, slots, playing the piano and organ, a good martini and meeting interesting people. Survivors include a son, Michael B. Robbins & daughter-in-law Sally E. Robbins of Pinellas Park, and a grandson, Jeffrey M. Robbins of Clearwater. A memorial service will be 11 am Wednesday, Dec. 10th at Bon Secours, 10401 Roosevelt Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Salvation Army.
