Obituary - Leone Scoffield Bennett, 77, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 1990. She was born March 21, 1913 in Layton, Utah, a daughter of Richard and Alice Rose Parsons Scoffield. She was married to Leland William Bennett, November 5, 1930 in Coalville, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.

She had worked at and retired from Hill AF Base. She was reared and attended schools in the Layton and Kaysville, Utah area. She and her husband operated farms in Kaysville, Utah and Preston, Idaho prior to returning to Farmington, Utah, after purchasing Lee's Locker Mart in 1949.

She was an outstanding mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; knowing each of her family intimately. She enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling, having lived in Arizona during the winter months for the last 15 years. Her hands never tired of making quilts, rugs, covered hangers, etc. which can be found in every one of her children's and grandchildren's homes. She was a member of the Farmington 14th LDS Ward.

Surviving is her husband, Farmington; two sons, two daughters, William S. and Paulette Bennett, Layton; Richard D. and Gail Bennett, Farmington; Anne and Linden Beckstead, Preston, Idaho; Kaye and Ned Klitgaard, Woods Cross, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; also surviving is a brother and two sisters, Maurice Scoffield, Layton; Thora Price, Lakeside, Oregon; Ellen (Bea) Stevenson Neilson, Layton; preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, four sisters, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main St., where friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the Mortuary one hour prior to services. Interment: Kaysville City Cemetery.
