Born in New York, she went to live in Utica with her aunt (mother's sister) Kathryn G Garvin Lee Catherine G. Garvin Lee and uncle Harry Lee at a young age when her mother died. While her aunt and uncle had money by standards back then, she was never allowed to be spoiled and needed to be a proper young lady. She learned to play the piano and her aunts Baby Grand was one of the things she cherished. She could play with or without music sheets and her fingers would flow over the keys. Although she was a "step" she loved her extended family very much and always included my other grandmother (my grandfathers first wife) in family gatherings and holiday events. She was a very selfless person who gave so much to so many.

On November 20, 1993, at Greater Southeast Community Hospital; beloved wife of the late Charles E. Reithmeyer; mother of Francis Paul Reithmeyer; Step mother of Marie Elizabeth Boteler and Charles E. Reithmeyer Jr.; also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several brothers, sisters and friends. Lee Funeral Home, Branch Ave., handled arrangements. Entombment Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
