Asa Ellis
Mr. Asa Ellis, a veteran of WW I, was a native and lifelong resident of Magazine Point, AL; has died at the Veterans Hospital in Biloxi, MS; on June 25, 1971.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Teletha Jardon of Cleveland, OH; one brother, Rudolph B Ellis of Prichard, AL; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Floyd of Mobile, AL; and Mrs. Ester Wilson of Magazine Point, AL; Mrs. Dorothy E. Arthur of Prichard, AL; three aunts, Mrs. Eva Jones, Mrs. Lillie Allen, Mrs. Louise Bacot of Plateau, AL: two uncles, Mr. Samuel Allen of Los Angeles, CA; Mr. Edward Allen of Chicago, IL; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Walter Wilson, and Mr. Nathan Floyd of Mobile, AL; five grandchildren, 14 nieces, 11 nephews, other relatives, and friends.
His remains may be viewed at the Holmes Street Baptist Church,
on Tuesday evening, June 29, 1971, after 5:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 1971,
at 10:00 a.m. from the church.
Rev. T. J. Hatcher officiating.
Interment in Plateau Cemetery.
