Mildred Snapp Potts Berryman
88, of Winchester, widow of the late David Berryman and Banford Potts, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at the Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling. Mrs. Berryman was born on Feb. 14, 1925 to the late Lucious Snapp Sr. And Sarah Blount Snapp. She was retired from the J.C. Penny Co., a long time volunteer at Winchester Center, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Survivors include her step daughter, Glenda (Jimmy) Hill of Grand Prairie, TX; granddaughter Marnie (Travis) Magee; grandson, Jason (Amanda) Hill; two great granddaughters, Zoe and Kylie Magee; sister, Lola S. Martin of Clark Co.; sister-in-law, Juanita Snapp; brother-in-law, Kelly Toler; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a very special sidekick Polly Todd. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, James T. Snapp, Frances S. Peters, Margaret S. Strange, Christine S. Henry, Lucious Snapp Jr., Donald A. Snapp and Dorothy S. Toler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday November 8 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Donald Wayne Strange and Rev. Jim Rediford. Committal service and burial will follow at the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Peters, Bill Peters, Jackie Strange, Larry Strange, Gregory Snapp, David King, and Gary Potts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sharon Martin, Sarah Miller, Janice Sue Derickson, Paula Johnson, Connie King, Sheri Thiry, Regina Miller, Polly Todd.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7 at Scobee Funeral Home.


Contributions in her memory can be made to the Corinth Baptist Church.
