MERIDEN - Marri Hugo Mostad, 51, of Meriden, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at MidState Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of 19 years of Ted Mostad.

She was born in Meriden, Dec. 1, 1960, a daughter of the late Thomas and Nancy Murphy Hugo. An active member of real estate since 1993, she worked for Dan Combs Real Estate and previously Calcagni Real Estate. Marri was on the Board of the Augusta Cultural Center in Meriden and was a coach for Wallingford's Pop Warner football. She was a lifelong advocate for Wallingford, the Democratic National Party, the Boston Red Sox, Pop Warner football, and love. Marri's last wish was for her granddaughter, Mya Rose Jakiela to attend "Wallingford U" and settle up on the Sheehan side of town.

In addition to her husband Ted, she is survived by her sons, Robert Rickey Jr., and Jason Jakiela and his fiancée, Danielle Andrews; her granddaughters, Natalia, Danielle, and Mya Rose; her sister, Nancy Jean Hall; her brothers, Vincent Devine and his wife, Sandy, and Paul Devine and his wife, Lynn; many lifelong friends; and former husbands. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Richard Jakiela III; and a former husband.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville, on Friday, July 27, from 4 until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. directly at Our of Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Rd., Yalesville. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Officer Daniel R. Jakiela Scholarship, 1371 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450 (Season's Credit Union).
