Bonnie L. Katterjohn, 69, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. She was born on September 25, 1943 in Greenville to the late James and Teresa (Feldpausch) Hemmes.
Bonnie enjoyed gardening, painting, playing cards, and caring for her family, especially her pets. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Wendy and Angel Andersen; and her brothers, Fred Hemmes and James Hemmes, Jr.
She is survived her her husband of nearly 37 years, Carl Katterjohn, Sr.; her sons, Todd (Lisa) Andersen, Steve Andersen, Dan (Connie) Katterjohn, and Carl (Julie) Katterjohn, Jr.; her daughters, Patti (Steven) Powell, Diana Dillon, and Kristin (Nathan) Rahn; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert (Pamela) Hemmes.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Dr. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the funeral. Private interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.
