SAVANNA --- Services for Barney McDaniel, 71, retired Pittsburg county farmer, are set for Monday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Graveside rites and burial will be in the Bokoshe cemetery at 1 p.m.
McDaniel died Thursday in a Muskogee hospital following an extended illness. He was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago, but had been in failing health for 10 years.
He was born April 2, 1888 in Faulkner county, Ark., and was reared near Ada. He lived at Bokoshe before moving to this area 16 years ago.
He was an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors are two sons, including Billy Joe McDaniel, Tulsa; two daughters, including Mrs. Edith Lewis, Tulsa; a sister, Mrs. Alice Deaton, Stonewall, a brother and three grandchildren.
