Loyal to his Country. Loyal to his family. Clarence E. (Curley) McDaniel was born February 11, 1933 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma to Barney G.W. McDaniel and Agnes Bailey. He went to be with his Creator in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on April 21, 2020. He was raised in the hills of eastern Oklahoma, Curley grew up hunting, riding horses, and playing in the woods. He was a trained electrician and could fix almost anything with a motor. Curley also loved to paint and served as an artist at Collier Publishing in Denver, Colorado. A proud Veteran, Curley joined the Army in June of 1952, took basics in Fort Riley, Kansas and then an overseas tour in Germany. He and his wife of 46 years (Jo Anna) lived in Englewood, Colorado after he returned from his Army tour where they fished, hunted, and enjoyed the mountains with family throughout Colorado. Eventually, they tired of the big city and moved to Lenapah, Oklahoma where they owned and operated the Whistle Stop store. Then in 1989, they purchased a mobile home park in Mountain Home, Arkansas that Curley operated until 2000, after Jo Anna passed. In 2009, Curley moved to Tishomingo, Oklahoma to be closer to his brother Billy Joe and his wife of 65 years (Judy). He was Baptized in 2011 and he spent time at the Bullard Chapel Baptist Church and at the American Legion in Tishomingo, as well as, fishing and picking berries and pecans. Curley helped clean up roadsides and supported numerous organizations to continue his service to his community. He loved to sit outdoors and watched all the activity of the birds, squirrels, cattle, and horses. We know he is sitting on a front porch in Heaven watching all of nature with his Lord.
