Born in Philadelphia Mrs. Pine had been a resident of this area for 75 years. Before her retirement, she was employed for 41 years in the executive offices of the Singer Corporation in New York City.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pennington and the Martha Circle of the church, the Pennington Women's Club and the Hopewell Valley Historical Society.
Wife of the late Mortimer S. Pine, Jr., she is survived by a sister, Isabel Tompkins Holcombe of Ewing; a stepson, Jack Pine of Provincetown, Pa.; three nieces, Jacqueline Tompkins and Joan Hopewell, both of Pennington and Betsy H. Smith of Princeton and four nephews, William H. Howe of Rocky Hill, Bruce J. Tompkins and Stuart A. Tompkins, both of Pennington, and Wilford L. Holcombe Jr. of Ewing.
