DEATH ARTICLE - from Altoona Tribune October 6, 1947 page 12 - Robt. G. Arble, Former Auto Dealer, Dies - Robert G. Arble. 59, 2015 Broad avenue, former automobile dealer and recently steward of the Charles R. Rowan post, American Legion, died at 9:45 o’clock Saturday morning a: his home after a brief illness. He was a member of the firm of Cramer & Arble, early automobile dealers in Altoona. He had relinquished his post at the American Legion home last August. Born in Altoona July 19. 1888, he was the son of George and Magdalene (Eger) Arble and was married to Miss Marie Murphy. Mr. Arble is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. R. F. Bayer, Jr., Tyrone: two grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, William H., Mrs. Mary C. Strohmeyer and Mrs. Ruth Moran, all of the city. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church and the Frohsinn Singing society. Mr. Arble reposes at the V. L Stevens funeral home.
