Obituary: The Pulaski Citizen 16 Aug 1961

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Pack Bascomb Storey, 86, Fayetteville resident, were held Thursday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, with the burial in Pisgah Cemetery in Giles County. Mrs. Storey, who had been in failing health for sometime, died Tuesday, August 8, at her home. A native of Lincoln County, born March 16, 1875, she was the former Miss Dora Pack, the daughter of the late John Pack and Nettie Reese Pack, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Twice married, her first husband, E. C. Bascomb, died twenty-three years ago and her second husband, J. C. Storey, died five years ago. Mrs. Storey is survived by three sons, Otis Bascomb, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Sumpter Bascomb, St. Louis, Mo. and Jesse Bascomb, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Elmo Harwell, Blooming Grove, Mrs. Aubrey Swinney, Lewisburg, and Mrs. James Hamentaller, Shelbyville; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Pack, Petersburg, John Pack, Howell and J. T. Pack, Nashville; and two sisters, Mrs. E. B. Noles, Fayetteville, and Mrs. John Stevenson, Shelbyville.
